Our seed varieties

Chamomile – Matricaria recutita
Chamomile is a pretty annual herb that produces small daisy like flowers and grows to approximately 15-40cm in height. Under ideal conditions, chamomile seeds are expected to germinate within 5-10 days. Keep the soil and seed paper moist throughout the germination period and place in full sun or sun with partial shade. Ideally sown in spring, summer or early autumn. Can be grown in a pot indoors.
Lettuce – Lactuca sativa
This particular lettuce variety forms light green coloured rosettes of oak-shaped leaves. It is quick growing, relatively heat tolerant and seeds will germinate in approximately 7 days. Baby leaves can be expected within 28 days and full size reached in 50 to 60 days.
Oregano – Oreganum vulgare
Oregano is a culinary herb.  It prefers well-draining soil in full sun and can grow to a height of around 30cm. While it can tolerate cool conditions, it should be protected from frosts. Planting is best done when conditions are warmer. Germination in warm conditions usually occurs in approximately 7 to 14 days. It can be grown in containers.
Swan River Daisy – Brachycome iberidifolia
An annual plant native to Western Australia but can grow throughout most regions of Australia. It is a branching low-lying plant that grows to around 30cm and is often used as a splendid pot or rockery species. The flowers come in a variety of colours. It can tolerate a wide range of soils including sandy, saline or clay soils but should be protected from severe frosts. Seeds germinate quickly (approx 7 days) under ideal (warm) conditions.
