If you ask for a quote for amounts up to 2000 these will be the price you receive.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept direct deposit and PayPal with credit card options available.

How much is postage?

Delivery fees are calculated per order. We use Australia Post Express Post for our deliveries. If you have any special requests or would prefer registered post, please inform us when placing your order. Please refer to the Delivery section of our website. For orders over $250 (ex GST) cost for express postage is waived.

Do your seeds have a shelf life?

The shelf life of Seed Paper Australia seeded products depends on how the product is stored. Similar to live seeds, the seed paper should be stored in a cool, dry and dark place to maximise its longevity. If the seeded product is cared for in an appropriate way, the shelf life can be up to18 months.

What seeds are available?

Chamomile, Lettuce, Oregano, Swan River Daisy and Thyme for most orders however we stock larger quantities of Chamomile, Oregano, Swan River Daisy and Thyme which are the main seed types we use in corporate orders. More seeds will be added as we conduct further research. Keep an eye on Our Seed Varieties page for updates.

How do I plant my paper?

Seed Paper Australia products come with directions for how to plant the paper. Further information on seed types and planting requirements are available from our Planting Instructions and Our Seed Varieties pages on our website.

Can I send seeded cards to international destinations?

At Seed Paper Australia we do not recommend that you send any seed products internationally as, being a seed product, they may be held by customs and quarantine in the importing country. This is important as many countries restrict the importation of live seeds, even when in seed paper, to prevent any potential ecological problems that the seeds may cause.

If you have only a few items to be sent overseas, we are able to print on handmade paper that does not contain seeds.  The invitations will look the same as your seeded paper ones, however we will remove the planting instructions.

Is it ok to send seeded cards to Western Australia and Tasmania?

Western Australia and Tasmania has strict quarantine laws with respect to live seed products and while the seeds used in Seed Paper Australia products are all permitted to enter the state, the suggested process differs depending on whether the products are for commercial or domestic use.

Domestics Use: It is advisable to write on the package/envelope the following information to assist with quarantine:

“Attention Quarantine: This envelope contains plantable handmade paper with pure seeds of: Scientific name”.

What are common and scientific names of the seeds you supply in paper?

Common Name        Scientific Name

Chamomile             Matricaria recutita

Lettuce                    Lactuca sativa

Oregano                  Origanum vulgare

Swan River Daisy    Brachycome iberidifolia

Thyme                     Thymus vulgaris

Are you able to make seeded products for funerals and memorial services?

We require a minimum of five business days to make our seeded products. Unfortunately we are no longer able to meet shorter time frames as we found the artwork approval process and postage times was too tight to ensure delivery of the seeded products, without adding further stress in an already difficult time. We are able to assist with celebrating loved ones lives when given at least five days notice. Please consider if you are in an express delivery area for Australia Post as we are unable to control this aspect of the order process.

Is it possible to have several seed types in the same product?

At this stage we only have one seed type per sheet of paper.

Do you have coloured seed paper?

All our seed paper is currently white. We hope to introduce coloured paper in the future.

Can I make up my order with a variety of seed types?

Depending on the order quantity, we may be able to divide your order into different seed types.

What products can you customise?

We are able to customise any of our products that you see on our website. As our products are handmade, if there is something specific you had in mind, and you cannot see it on our website, you can email us at info@seedpaperaustralia.com.au and we can provide you with a competitive quote.  Sometimes we may suggest a slightly different size to maximise the amount of seeded products we can make out of our raw sheets of seed paper – thus keeping costs as low as possible for you.

Are envelopes available?

We are able to provide envelopes in a range of sizes to suit our products.  All of our envelopes are made from 100% recycled paper.

What design options are there?

You can provide us with your own artwork or can use one of our Image Designs which most can be customised to match your logo or corporate colours.

Alternatively, you can provide your own artwork. Find following some points to keep in mind when providing customised artwork for printing on our seed paper.

Each sheet of seeded paper is individually handmade and contains live seeds.  Sometimes there is a slight variation in the thickness and placement of the seeds in each sheet.

To get the best results when printing we recommend the following when designing your artwork:

– A margin of 3mm from all edges of the card to print to.  If you are considering printing to the edge, please let us know as we will need to charge a surcharge depending on the size of your design and the number of edges you are printing to.

– Simple artwork that requires minimal ink coverage is best.  Too much ink may affect the viability of the seeds.  Up to 40% coverage is best.

– The paper is quiet porous and therefore not recommended for printing photographs onto.

– Please provide your artwork in CMYK colours.

– Please forward font files or embed your text into your artwork.

– Don’t forget to include seed type and some growing instructions!  These can be found on our website at Seed Paper Australia Planting Instructions – please amend to suit your requirements.

Can I add my business logo to your cards?

Yes you are able to add you logo to the back of our cards via our “Own logo” products, making the ordering process easier for you.

How long does it take to have custom products made?

We do not keep large stocks of seed paper on hand and try and make it as close to when we need it as possible. This ensures we supply you with the freshest and highest quality seed paper possible. After a large order is placed, please allow up to 10-14 days whilst standard orders are usually sent within 5 business days.  If your order is urgent, please email us at info@seedpaperaustralia.com.au with “URGENT” prior to ordering to – we will always try to meet your time frames where possible.

How can I obtain pricing?

All of our product prices are listed on our website under “Custom artwork“, “Own artwork” or “Own logo” categories (pricing is the same for each category and pricing shown is for up to 2000 units).  If there is a size that you are after that isn’t an existing product size please email us at info@seedpaperaustralia.com.au with your requirements and we will provide you with a competitive quote.

How can I order custom products?

All of our products can be ordered online. We will email a proof for your approval prior to printing.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept direct deposit and PayPal with credit card options available.

How can my customers find the planting instructions?
